Brenton on Sea is the only known place where the famous Brenton Blue butterfly occurs. This prime ocean side property boasts more than 80 linear meters of direct ocean frontage. Knysna is one of South Africa’s most sought-after holiday destinations. It is a quintessential seaside town with a natural harbour and lagoon and has long been considered the “gem” of the famous garden route.

These rich waters are teaming with marine life and are home to bottle nose and pacific humpback dolphin.  Both species are abundant in the area and are frequently seen surfing the waves very close to the shore along the entire coastline. Whale sightings are also common and every year we are privileged to witness thousands of humpback and southern right whales moving past the coastline on their epic annual migration.

The area is renowned for its magnificent scenery, wide variety of indigenous fauna and flora as well as  animal and marine life which include the extremely rare Brenton Blue Butterfly, a variety of bush buck, plentiful bird life, whale, dolphin and very famous Knysna seahorse to name a few.

The main city center of Knysna is a short drive (15km) from the property and 70km from George Airport which is serviced by multiple airlines daily from across the country.  It is a short 55-minute flight from Cape Town International Airport.

The area offers lots of activities and attractions for all tastes including several waterfront dining and shopping venues, hiking, sailing, boat rides, wine tours, elephant tours, marine tours, zip-lining, forest trails, river rafting, cycling, surfing, kayaking, etc.

The area also has some of the most well renowned and scenic golf courses in the country, including the Jack Nicklaus designed Simola Golf Estate as the award-winning Conrad Pezula golf resort and club.
